Peace Treaties in Art 30x30 Challenge

In July 2016, Wikimedia Community Malta participated in the Peace Treaties in Art 30x30 Challenge that took place in San Sebastian, Spain. Organised by Donostia-San Sebastian European Capital of Culture 2016 and the Basque Wikimedians User Group, this writing challenge formed part of the Donostiapedia project.

Aims

The Peace Treaties in Art 30x30 Challenge was aimed at creating, translating and improving articles on a number of paintings showcased in the Peace treaty exhibitions featuring in Donostia-San Sebastián, European Capital of Culture 2016. Through this writing, the project intended to share knowledge about the theme of peace in art across various language Wikipedias, particularly within minority languages.

Contribution

Wikimedia Community Malta being presented to Wikipedians in Donostia

Wikimedia Community Malta presented its work and future plans to the various Wikipedians and Wiki User Groups that were attending. Furthermore WCM focused on translating a number of articles to Maltese in Wikipedija. Some of the articles translated are listed below:

• L-Għoti ta' Breda
